Floods in San Bernardino

The warning for flash flooding in certain sections of Riverside and San Bernardino counties has been lifted.

An afternoon storm that dumped considerable rain on Yucaipa and Calimesa, which are located in San Bernardino and Riverside counties, prompted the National Weather Service to issue a warning about the potential for flash flooding on September 28.

According to a NWS meteorologist named Adam Roser, a flash flood warning was issued at 4:23 p.m. after it was reported that Yucaipa had received 0.85 inches of rain in 15 minutes. Roser also mentioned that the storm was fairly localised. In addition, the cities of Redlands and Beaumont were affected by the warmth.

A flood watch has been issued for the mountains of Los Angeles County and is expected to remain in place through Monday night. This watch will have an effect on the areas of Antelope Valley, Palmdale, Acton, Mount Pinos, Mount Wilson, Lockwood Valley, and Lancaster.

After a significant amount of rain fell on Sunday evening, the city of San Dimas captured on video evidence of flooding in the area.

In the meantime, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health issued a warning on Saturday asking anybody who plans to visit the county's beaches over the weekend to exercise caution as a result of the downpour that slammed the region late Friday night.

Due to the possibility of contamination caused by storm drain flow, the Department of Public Health for Los Angeles County advised individuals to exercise caution when swimming, surfing, or otherwise playing in ocean waters.

Residents in a burn scar area have been advised by Cal Fire to take shelter in their homes in the event of floods.

As of five o'clock on Wednesday, there were no reports of casualties or damage to structures, and the alert was lifted at five forty-five o'clock.

After a rain fall, the government warned that "ocean and bay recreational waters, particularly near discharge storm drains, creeks and rivers can become contaminated with bacteria, chemicals, garbage, trash, and other public health dangers from city streets and mountain areas." "People who swim or bathe in the water in these regions run the risk of becoming ill. Rain watches and warnings continue to be in place for a period of three days after the precipitation has stopped."

The advisory will remain in effect until Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., if not later.
